Next year’s Assassin’s Creed game has been leaked and seems to be titled “Assassin’s Creed: Victory” probably due to its setting in 19th century London during the Victorian Era. The game is set to release for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. This unfortunately means that there will be no game for PS3 and Xbox 360 players this time around. It is also worth to mention that Assassin’s Creed Victory will be developed by Ubisoft Quebec, the team behind Assassin’s Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Freedom Cry. A seven minute video of the game shows off an in development version of AC: Victory and Kotaku reports that it seems to run on the Anvil engine, the same engine that ran Unity. This footage shows the assumed protagonist running through London and jumping on to a train to pursue their Templar target.
A new grappling hook has also been reported to be seen in the gameplay footage that could change the gameplay. According to Kotaku, the grappling hook will allow players to attach to almost any surface, and get to their target, or escape with greater speed.
Ubisoft has commented on the matter saying as follows: “It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public,” a representative said. “The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.”
