Japanese developer Nigoro has announced that the sequel to the tough-as-nails La-Mulana, which launched on WiiWare and PC, is in development. It will be funded using Kickstarter and could possibly come to multiple systems.
The game will feature an all-new protagonist and promises to be accessible to both series veterans and newcomers. It’s set to launch in late 2015 on PC if the initial $200,000 goal is reached. Many stretch goals are listed, including handheld versions at $1,150,000, current generation console versions at $1,650,000 and previous generation console versions at $2,350,000. It isn’t clear exactly which systems the game will be ported to, however. Check out the campaign here and donate if you’re interested!
