Microsoft Studios Cancels “Scalebound” Production

Earlier today, Microsoft Studios has confirmed that the highly anticipated cooperative RPG Scalebound, developed by Platinum Games (known for The Wonderful 101 and the Bayonetta series), has been canceled. The reason for the cancellation isn’t all too clear, besides wanting to focus on other games such as State of Decay 2 and Halo Wars 2, among others.

Microsoft stated, “After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for “Scalebound.” We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including ‘Halo Wars 2,’ ‘Crackdown 3,’ ‘State of Decay 2,’ ‘Sea of Thieves,’ and other great experiences. I, for one, was excited to play Scalebound and am deeply upset that it was canceled, but they have their reasons and hopefully they’ll return back to it in some way or another.

What do you think of the cancellation? Should a different game have been canceled, instead? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us at @BlazeKickTweet, or on my personal Twitter, @GeminiTrinity.
