Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 5 Announced for Release in Japan This Winter

Persona 5

No, do not attempt to adjust your computer screens. It’s really happening. Today, Atlus announced that their popular JRPG franchise Shin Megami Tensei: Persona was finally going to get it’s fifth true entry this Winter on the PS3 in Japan. This means that US and Europe fans will have to wait a little longer to play it.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona is a spin-off series of Atlus’ also popular Shin Megami Tensei games (Shin Megami Tensei IV released just recently on 3DS). In Persona, you live a year in high school, making friends and living life as you would. However, you also fight various demons and shadows in the Dark Hour, a time between the first second of Midnight. Your character has the ability to call multiple “Personas,” which are various entities that you can summon to fight for you. The games base themselves around Japanese culture.
