Pokemon GO Announced for iOS and Android

The Pokemon Company has announced Pokemon GO, a Augmented Reality game for iOS and Android. This game will allow players to catch and battle Pokemon in the real world by using a smartphone. Pokemon GO is being worked on by The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, and Niantic. Pokemon GO is inspired by Ingress, an Augmented Reality MMO RPG developed by Niantic.

Pokemon GO will support an accessory called the Pokemon GO Plus that will connect via Bluetooth to the player’s smartphone. The Pokemon Go Plus will receive notifications from the game when a Pokemon is nearby.

Pokemon GO will be free-to-play and will included micro-transactions. This game will release on iOS and Android devices in 2016.
