Otakon is currently going on right now and with it some companies decided they didn’t drop enough a few weeks ago at Anime Expo and have even more. One such company is Sekai Project and boy, do they have some major stuff!
Starting off with the updates on already announced stuff, the 18+ version of “The Fruit of Grisaia” is finished the QA phase and is expected to be available on Denpasoft’s site soon. The spin-off of the Grisaia series, “Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru” is also done with QA and expected for release soon. Finally, announced at Anime Expo “G-Senjou no Maou” is currently in the QA phase and is still expected to release at some point this summer. Sekai Project also announced it will come with Steam Trading Cards at launch which is pretty exciting for me! Never going to turn down the chance of Kanon Azai wallpaper!

-Chiru Chiru Michiru is available in July
The Fruit of Grisaia Unrated aiming for July
Now the major thing that was actually listed first in the press release, but, I thought the updates would be a better way to start off. A stretch goal the Clannad Kickstarter hit was a new Clannad Anthology manga to be created. I thought this would be it for Sekai Project’s manga endeavors but they have announced they will be branching into the manga section of Japanese entertainment! The first series they’ve announced is GATE which currently has an anime adaptation airing that you can watch on Crunchyroll. Will I haven’t seen or read it the press release describes Gate as:
Similar to its anime counterpart currently airing on Crunchyroll.com, GATE follows an otaku JSDF soldier as he leads his team to explore a mysterious world filled with knights, elves and dragons. Written by Takumi Yanai, illustrated by Satoru Sao and published by Alpha Polis, GATE spearheads Sekai Project’s new manga initiative.
It will be interesting to see how far this branches as even with comapnies like Viz Media, Yen Press, Kodansha Comics and Seven Seas Entertainment, a lot of manga slips through releasing outside of Japan.
*notes from panel:
aiming for early 2016, books as close to Japanese release as possible
Visual Novel stuff. It says 5 new titles but I’m pretty sure one was already announced and another one was very obvious.
Tenshin Ranman (Yuzusoft):
Haruki Chitose’s life could be described in one word: unlucky. He had lost countless wallets, been in innumerable biking accidents, and always ended up being hassled by others whenever he went into town. Many would consider such events to be unfortunate, but this was normal for him. Things suddenly take a turn for the worse when a certain something arrived at his doorstep. A package without an address or sender, just labeled with a sticker that said “living creature”. Who would ever expect a girl to be delivered to your doorstep? A new sort of misfortune–no, a literal gift from the gods–was the opening to even crazier days for Haruki.
That’s certainly a grabbing description! This looks like a pretty fun time from the screens Google has shown me, I have a feeling it might be like The Fruit of Grisaia were it’s all fun and cute until the character routes start though. We’ll have to wait and see though!
Nenokami: The Two Princess Knights of Kyoto (Kuro Irodoru Yomiji):
A strange earthquake in Kyoto’s northern district; televised broadcasts of “paganist” cultists behaving abnormally; and spotting of “oni”-like beings spreading across all of Japan. Over time, people’s interest shifted back to the day-by-day goings on in the news, and their idle chatter. Those events were no longer worth discussing. Up until now, Ren has been living her life as a normal high school student. She suddenly reunites with Shinonome, her childhood friend from years ago, and is told– “Ren. As of today, I’m going to have you abandon this town… and your life.” Since reuniting with Shinonome, Ren is thrust onto the stage of “reality,” and the veil hiding the “truth” of this world is lifted. And — the girls’ lives are played with by the fate thrust upon them.
This is a yet to be released in Japan visual novel so there’s really not much I can say about it that you can’t read above. Seems more serious which is always good. I wonder if it will be like Nekopara and release same day in world-wide or if there’s a slight delay. Either way seems interesting.
*notes from panel:
This is a shoujo ai title
Witch Boy Magical Piece (Rosemary House):
When mysterious organisms called “Creatures” attacked the Earth, the government was powerless to resist their onslaught. As the world was gripped by fear, the development of“Magic”by reverse engineering the Creatures technology enabled the government to fight back. Sakurai Hinata is your average high school student. Because of his aptitude for magic he is forced to transform into a beautiful girl and wield magic. A witch. Together with four other boys with similar talents (except one who is forced to cross dress due to his low aptitude) they fight the increasingly powerful creatures. At first, Hinata struggles but as time passes a feeling of camaraderie develops and maybe something far stronger than just camaraderie begins to take root between them.
If the quote looks weird I’m sorry, Word Press hated it for some reason. Anyway this seems like an interesting title. It’s currently on Google Play but I’m guessing only a portion is free as I’m not sure what else the “in-app purchases” would be. It’s also Japanese only. Anyway, Sekai Project said they were going to start bringing BL titles over and according to the Google Play page this is a BL title so if you’ve been looking for one of those you should look forward to this.
fault milestone two side:above (ALICE IN DISSONANCE):
fault milestone two side:above is a Cinematic Visual Novel that takes place right after the events of fault milestone one. With the addition of a new 3D camera system, fault milestone two aims to introduce a more immersive and “larger than life” reading experience. Follow the grand science fantasy story of Selphine and the gang as they make their way back to their homeland!
Well I really enjoyed the first one so I’m expecting great things from this! Especially with this new camera system. I could have sworn they had already announced this (it was even part of their monthly update at some point) but maybe it’s being split as the “side:above” subtitle makes me think (which would be new and would suck as I’d have to wait for “side:below” to release to review if that’s the case).

Aiming for September release
NEKOPARA Vol. 0 (NEKO WORKs):
A NEKOPARA fan disc, Volume 0 is a prequel to the events of NEKOPARA Volume 01. Get to know Chocola, Vanilla and the rest of the gang on a typical day at home in the Minaduki household. Needless to say, things are less than normal…
Well, volume 1 was a pleasant surprise for someone like me who wasn’t expecting much, especially in the all-ages version. This was announced about a month ago in Japan and most people I’ve seen thought Sekai Project releasing it was pretty obvious as volume 1 appears like it was fairly popular on Steam. Still nice for official confirmation none-the-less.
-They also showed a message from the writer of Muv Luv
-Still working on Grisaia on Vita
-Clannad translation was redone from scratch
-Still in talks with Key about future titles
-Hinted at G-Senjou no Maou 18+ on Denpasoft
-Want to release physical games to non-backers
-Can’t announce if manga will be both physical and digital right now
-Hinted at getting manga other companies didn’t want to translate/release
Well that’s it! Pretty nice considering Anime Expo just happened and Sekai Project announced quite a few things there already. If anything is announced at the panel and not here I’m sorry because unless they’re able to stream it I have no way of knowing.
