Xbox Live Games with Gold – September 2015

This month, Xbox brings a whole new set of games to the table with 2 free games for Xbox 360 and 2 free games for Xbox One.

For Xbox 360, we’ll be receiving Battlestations: Pacific ($24.99 USD), a real-time action strategy game from Eidos Interactive, the minds behind Thief and the Just Cause series. This game is the second game in the series, set in World War II. You play as either the Americans or as the Japanese (in, essentially, a “what if” scenario) as you control planes, infantry, and submarine to destroy the opposing forces. This will be available to everyone with Gold September 1st – September 15th.

From September 16th – September 30th, Gold subscribers will have Crysis 3 ($19.99 USD) available to them. As the name entails, Crysis 3 is the third installment in the Crysis storyline. Developed by Crytek, the creators of Ryse: Son of Rome and the Far Cry series, Crysis 3 is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic New York City, following the proceedings of Crysis 2. The game includes both a single player and multiplayer game mode where players can battle head-to-head.

For Xbox One, we get The Deer God ($14.99 USD), an adventure-platforming indie by Crescent Moon Games. The point in The Deer God is to survive by jumping from platform to platform to survive whatever the new day throws at you. It features single player, co-operative play, and a nice retro art-style that fits perfectly with the game. This will be available from September 1st – September 30th.

From September 16th – October 16th, Xbox One players can rejoice in receiving Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition ($29.99), the famous inclusion in the Tomb Raider franchise that focuses on Lara Croft before she becomes an artifact hunter. Developed by Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider follows the beginning of Lara Croft’s adventure as she, and her crew, crash land on an island where they must survive animals, people, and deadly environments alike if they want any chance of leaving it. The Definitive Edition of Tomb Raider comes with better graphics, making the environment and cinematics truly remarkable looking.

Last month, we received a total of $79.96 worth of free games and, this month, we increase that by receiving $89.96 in free games. It seems that Xbox is stepping up their game by giving us some big hits. What do you want to see in Games with Gold?
